We've just compiled detailed information about the Fic Battle! Whether you decide to participate in the game or not, we need your ideas here and now. Each chapter in the game will start and end with opening and closing sentences provided HERE by you! We'll print them out and draw from a cup. Who knows, maybe we'll use yours! To contribute, leave a reply on this thread with your ideas. (Please note if it's to open or close a chapter.) Your sentences can be Faberry specific, but they certainly don't have to be. For example, when we did a practice round of the Fic Battle as a con staff, we used the opener, "The night was moist." (Ewww.) The more sentences we get, the better. Dazzle us with your ideas. GO.

Opening: I should have died seven months ago. Ever since, things haven’t quite been the same for me.
Opening: The spotlight is blinding, sure, but not nearly as blinding as her smile when it's directed at me.
Opening: I don't remember much about that day, just that it was the last time I saw her face. Until now, that is.
Opening: The sound is familiar. The distinct voice making it's way towards her ears soothes her instantly. She's heard it a thousand times. It's troublesome, though, because it's not possible. Rachel Berry died four years ago. Or did she? Dun dun DUNNNN

Opener: Quinn was oiling her robot heart when Rachel walked in. Opener: "It's not real, Quinn." Closer: And in that moment, cranberries were the only thing that mattered Closer: Rachel's orgasms were loud enough to shake the mountain tops. Closer: AND THEY NEVER SAW MERMAID FINN AGAIN. Closer: After that, McKinley had a strict 'no slip and slides permitted on school' rule. Closer: As the last monster died, she still couldn't shake the feeling that she was about to lose her life. Closer: In that moment, Quinn was sure she loved Rachel more than anything else in the world.

Opener: "Rachel, how on Earth can you be singing right now??" Opener: At the furious look on her face, Quinn really regrets not telling Rachel that she slept with Santana Lopez... twice. Opener: The consistent roar of the machine gun was enough to keep the heavy thoughts out of her head. Opener: Never did Quinn Fabray expect to see a naked, wet Rachel Berry coming out of the water. Opener: "Are you suggesting we have a threesome?" Opener: She doesn't know when it starts, but suddenly it's Quinn carrying her books through the hallway instead of Finn. Opener: Rachel can't help but stare at Quinn's bright pink hair and the way her creamy hips stand out against the black of her shirt. Opener: "No, I wasn't thinking of only Finn." Opener: Somehow, some way, they always end up making out in the school's bathroom. Closer: And, thankfully, that was the last time it happened. Closer: With saving the world under her belt, Rachel Berry felt like she could do anything. Closer: After that, no one could look at the piano again.

Open: "Natalie Dormer, Quinn, Natalie Dormer!" Open: "No, it's totally not noticeable at all." Open: The gun smoked, just like in the movies. Open: "We all bleed the same in the end, don't we?" Open: "Ladies, meet the newest member of the Cheerios: Rachel Berry." Open: "Last time on Fondue for Two..."
Close: Sometimes, being part of something special? It's not all it's cracked up to be. Close: New York was a real bitch sometimes, but damn, did it feel good to be home. Close: Margaritas. Close: She was happy, and that was enough. Close: The tears would dry. Close: Sometimes, zombies happen; no big deal.

a thousand votes for the Natalie Dormer one, even if we aren't actually voting on anything.

Opener: It was like looking into a mirror. Except it wasn't. The face was the same, but she's 100% sure she doesn't have dreadlocks. Or glasses. Or a twin sister. What the hell is going on? (GUESS WHO JUST FINISHED ORPHAN BLACK S2 UHUH UHUH UHUH)
Opener: The magic was gone.
Opener: Prison changes people. People just always assume it's for the worst, when, actually, it's not. (GUESS WHO'S ALSO TRYING TO CATCH UP ON ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK S2)
Opener: She's going to kill Santana for making her go to this speed dating thing.
Closer: Pretending to be in love with her best friend and then actually falling in love with her best friend? Worst idea she's ever had. (GUESS WHO ALSO FINISHED WATCHING FAKING IT)
Closer: This "sexy secret Santa" thing was totally stupid.
Closer: "But Quinn, it's a National Holiday!"

Opener: Six inches is nothing to be ashamed of.
Opener: “What do you mean you lost the key?”
Opener: When Quinn opened her eyes, the last thing she remembered was bracing herself for the unavoidable tumble off the top of the cheerleading pyramid, so why the hell was Rachel Berry kneeling over her in a wedding dress?
Opener: Rachel had always wanted to pilot a spaceship, but she’d never imagined it would happen like this.
Opener: “I left Broadway for this?”
Closer: Now they just had to worry about that dragon.
Closer: Quinn smiles in satisfaction—this is so much better than winning prom queen.
Closer: Zero gravity certainly has it perks.
Closer: The next day, the headline reads: “Rachel Berry Gets Down and Dirty with Quinn Fabray.”
Closer: Rachel makes a mental note to buy more whip cream right before she drifts off to the sound of Quinn’s heartbeat beneath her ear.

EXCELLENT JOB, EVERYONE.
I think it's safe to say we have enough choices now (considering we'll only be drawing 3 of each out of the cup), but if you still want to get in on this, you're welcome to. I'll print them on Friday (7/19).
Thanks again!!
